Default Windows 7 - Automatical Defragging

Hello

I've just read in an article that Windows 7 has got automatical defragging active once a week. I've checked that on my computer and found out that automatical defragging is activated on all my drives. Just deactivated it. But I'm wondering why Rollback installation did not deactivate that resp. doesn't inform me to do that.
2nd question: What happens if Rollback ist installed and automatical defragging active?

Hi sheldon,

I did it this way: I have two HDDs. The first HDD just hosts drive C:, the second HDD D: and E: - Rollback Rx only protects C:
On Windows 7 the integrated auto-defrag once a week is still enabled here. My manual change was to exclude drive C: via the
defrag GUI. So, auto-defrag is still enabled for D: and E:

But you're right, I also miss a note and recommendation about this integrated auto-defrag in the knowledge base.

Sorry to bring this old thread.
Just join the forum to learn more about Rollback.

I wonder why this question has not been answered.
Since normal defrag can ruin the system, I think I'd really like to know the answer. Did Rollback really fail to alert user for such a critical situation ?
thanks

Serville, welcome to the forum and thank you for your question.

In the meantime, a search can be done on the "Support" on the Horizon DataSys website. I have provided a link which addresses defragmentation under "Product Limitations":
