I will add this to the Poll question at the top of this thread. The developers will be reviewing what is most important to most users and seeing what is possible. If there is enough interest they may implement this into a future build.

I also, did not like the bright colors as much. It may take some time to get use to.

Has anyone else noticed some if not all of the discrepancies i listed or am i going bonkers?

I currently use Rollback RX v8.1. Can I uninstall it and try ver 9.1 without buying it first? That is, a trial period. Then if its okay, I would buy.

The reason for this is I upgraded another product. After purchase, it would not install on my machine. So I'm back at the original version. Once burnt....

I received my e-mail today notifying me of the upgrade. One of the new features is supposed to be........

"Sleeker GUI - interface screen size adjusting and task progress bar for snapshots".

Except for the new color scheme, I don't see anything new in the GUI. Definitely no way to adjust the screen size. I'm running XP/SP3, but I don't see why that would be a problem.

Default Rollback v9.1 needs a fix.

I Just purchased the Rollback 9.1 and I'm having a BLACK SCREEN issue in several moments. Here are the general comments:

1) After installing Rollback v9.1, it says "Thank you for Activing Rollback" in the kind of dos splash screen and the "OK" button and you don't press anything and it gets the BLACK SCREEN;

2) After installed and using Rollback v9.1, everytime I try to start my computer I get a BLACK SCREEN right after the Rollback v9.1 splash screen "Press home..." and before the Windows splash screen with the loading bar. So, if I don't press HOME key to get into the Rollback, it was supposed to load the Windows, but it doesn't and it just shows the Black Screen. Sometimes at random it get to pass through. Sometimes you get to pass when you see the the Rollback v9.1 splash screen "Press home...", press the HOME key to get into the menu and select EXIT, there you go! It will load the Windows splash screen with the loading bar and will load your windows normally, but only if your mouse cursor moves on that screen, when it gets stopped the windows splash won't show and will stay on the black screen.

3) I've uninstalled the Rollback v9.1 and after uninstalling it, it shows "OK - uninstalling is complete" message and right after the BLACK SCREEN and get stucked there. So, you need to turn off the computer.

After uninstalling Rollback v9.1, my computer got to start normally with no BLACK SCREEN at all, so IMHO it is some issue with Rollback v9.1 splash or some start file of it.

It needs to be reviewed urgent Horizon Team and I need an update! ;0) I'm tired of restarting my computer several times to get to start my windows and I should get it at the first try not after 4 or 5 restarts!

Thanks in advance.

I tried to see if we received any ticket regarding this issue, with no success... Could you pls submit a support ticket at http://support.horizondatasys.com or let us know what your ticket number is (if you have one).

You will need to provide the support team with your RollBack Rx Log files so that they can see what is going on during your start up process.
Here are the three files that will be needed to be submitted for analysis:

[1] setup.log (c:\program files\shield)
[2] subconsole.log (c:\program files\shield)
[3] 128.dat (c:\program files\shield)

Anybody else having this issue?

Lucato, could you also immediately remove your hyperlinks from your signature - Your post has been flagged as "SPAMMY".

I use it in all forums I participate in and never had problem, anyway I have removed the hyperlinks as requested. Would you guys put it back? If you guys don't want signatures, disable the feature in the forum. ;0)

Here is what the devteam had to say about your submitted ticket:
Quote:
.... it maybe caused by your mouse cursor. Please reboot your PC. Press HOME key prior to the windows bootup screen to get into the subsystem console of Rollback. please choose the 3rd option:Advanced options and then click on the System settings, enter "mouse=0" without quotation marks into the box and then exit and reboot your PC to see if it solves your problem or not.
Please update us here if this resolved your issue.

Hey Nick, here is the update.

I saw in the tickets another solution too. So, there are two ways to fix this issue. (At least seems that fixed and I'm not having to restart the computer for a while). The ways can be:

To set as:
Mouse=0

Or in other post/ticket to set as:
UseStdMBR=1

Both solved the issue. I mean, one at each time, of course. Support told me that it's better to use the option Mouse=0 and that is what I'm using now and the issue is gone.

Thanks.
