Default Chkvdisk not found

I installed roll back v9 on a Vista x64 system. On start up I now get a message that says "CHKVDISK Program Not found; skipping checks." Never heard of ChkVdisk, is this something associated with RollBack? How do I resolve this issue?

I would recommend you submit a support ticket here

Horizon DataSys Support Portal

I have Rollback installed on Window 7 x64 and my VDisk was rebuilt a couple of times after a system crash and an immediate Rollback initiated by me. So I guess its something important for Rollback to function correctly.

Let the rest of us know how your issue gets resolved. Thanks.

I too am experiencing this problem on my Vista SP2 x64 PC. Has it been resolved? If so, could you please provide details?

Thanks,

I havent heard anything further. I did a quick search on my PC and found the file "chkvdisk.exe" located as shown below.

My system is W7 x64. Maybe you can see if yours exists here or anywhere else as well? If you cant find it then obviously there is a problem with the installation of Rollback on your system. Support should help rectify this for your and notify the Dev team about this issue.

Thanks for the feedback. I have RB Rx installed on 3 PC's. 2 are Vista x64 and the other is Win 7 x64. In all cases the file resides in the same directory, so no apparent problem there. I'm able to perform recoveries and mount the Vdisk on the affected PC so it might not be a super critical issue. That said, unexplained error messages during the boot sequence always make me nervous ;-)

njayk, if you still monitor this forum could you let us know if (and how) the issue was resolved?

Thanks!
-Mike
