Default Problem Shutting down Windows XP

Hi
I previously had the problem where my Windows XP would fail to completely shut down. On this forum they gave a line which you should enter in Rollback 8.1 to flush the buffer or something. Can anyone give me the line to enter? I can't seem to find it on the forum. Please.

Chris

Default hangs when shutting down

Chris,

I dug this up.

In advanced options in pre-boot console window, lockdisk=0 if system hangs when shutting down. Default value is lockdisk=2.
