Question Rollback Rx preventing standby after period of inactivity

I've always had my PC set to enter standby mode after 10 minutes of inactivity, yet since installing Rollback, that doesn't happen anymore. I've definitely isolated it to it being an issue with Rollback. I've even set the system to enter standby after 1 minute and Rollback is obviously doing something constantly in the background, but what? I have scheduled snapshots every 4 hours but that's all I can tell that it is doing in the background. What else could it be??

Using XP and Rollback v8.1.

Well, I hope you come back and read this.

I use V8.1, I don't know if this applies to V9, but it might.

I, too, have/had this problem, but I finally figured it out.

If you cannot go into standby/hybernate BEFORE rollback is installed, you will NEVER be able to enter standby or hybernate.

This also applies to situations where you change your motherboard and/or or core motherboard drivers, or if you install some other hardware devices with standby abilities.

If you cannot standby or hybernate, uninstall rollback, fix the problem by installing whatever drivers you need to make hybernating and standby work (as well as adjusting any system settings you need to adjust), and THEN install rollback. After that, hybernation and standby will work just fine.

My guess is that Rollback copies the reported configuration of the underlying lower driver, and that one of those parameters has something to do with standby and hybernation, and if if the setting is "wrong" when you install it will forever be wrong.
