Hello everyone, this is my first post. Glad to have found this place! I discovered RollBack Rx three days ago, after becoming frustrated with System Restore in Windows never working and searching for an alternative.
Since installing RBRx I've rebooted my PC three times. Twice after a rollback and once after a software install that required it. So far RBRx has performed as advertised and I plan to purchase it on September 3 when it's on sale for $39.95 if I'm not mistaken. My only concern so far is that all three times, chkdsk has started. Twice I was able to cancel it before it got started and then once it didn't give me a chance to cancel it. Chkdsk ran with no problems and then Windows 7 continued to boot up. I'm wondering if this is normal, as I might expect Windows to think there may be a disk problem after reading about how RBRx works. If this is not normal, is there a way to correct it, as it does add time to a boot up and seems unnecessary. Has this happened to you? |

Welcome to the forum
![]() If chkdsk is triggered to run and it doesn't complete then I think it will try to run again on the next reboot until it is happy there are no problems. Also, if you have a snapshot saved in a state where chkdsk is flagged to run then each time you restore to that snapshot it will try to run as that was the state it was saved in. If you want to save a particular setup to roll back to on a regular basis then it might be better to restore that snapshot, let chkdsk do its stuff and then take another snapshot, once booted, which can become the one to restore to on a regular basis and which won't want to run chkdsk each time ![]() Graham |

What issue is this? Does chkdsk runs each time you reboot? Well, you don’t really need a complex chkdsk error fix for this. Try clicking on Start and Run. Type several commands and then reboot. You must be directed to a normal Windows log in.

Hello ravendawson,
Welcome to Horizon DataSys forum. It seems the link I posted previously is incorrect. Let's try this again: Rollback is causing a repetitive CHKDSK ***edit Sep5, 07*** Thanks for the feedback everyone! Best, Jacob |
