As an experiment, yesterday, I tried to use the Drive Cloner rescue CD on my own PC to restore an image made of it last month. When I got to the CD's console and followed the initial steps the wizard led me through, when it came to opening the plugged in USB exyernal hard drive to choose an image from it, there was no option in the CD's menu for that. It only mentioned something about opening a CD from the CD drive.
Also, in the left-hand explorer tree of the rescue CD, all it had were strangly named folders, containing nothing at all relating to the image files on my external USB drive. So it was impossible for me to restore an image from my own PC to my PC. It's a good job I found out about this now. Any thought? |

Has this been resolved as I am having the same problem. It does not find my attached USB drive where my 86GB image is stored when loading from the rescue CD. It looks like it is finding the attached drive but it does not show up. It does show up however if I choose to do a backup image from the restore cd by not the reimage option. IS there an update to this as my computer is not logging in at this time and I need to be able to restore the image.
Thanks, |

The problem still persists for me.
The support team told me to download the file DriveCloner_win7pe.iso from a website link they gave me saying that all I had to do was burn this file to a CD-R and use that CD-R as a replacement for the Recovery Media CD I had made, but which isn't working. I did this, but my PC wouldn't boot from this CD-R--it just booted into Windows, despite my setting the PC to boot from a CD-R. I have asked the support team to send me a bootable CD-R in the post, which I would pay postage costs for, but they say that that would be too complicated for them or something like that. I really don't know what to do. |
