If I perform a full backup of my C:\Drive to a USB External Drive...

Kodebuster (and others),
Here's a little heads-up to a potentially big problem...
I was performing daily full backups with the "Overwrite last backup" option not checked. This results in backup files named like <BackupName>0.ego, <BackupName>1.ego ... <BackupName>27.ego, etc.
I was then copying the latest backup file, say <BackupName>27.ego to an off-site location. I also deleted previous backups from the off-site location. That is, <BackupName>27.ego was the only backup stored at the off-site location.
Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I could not restore from it! Apparently, all the backup files (in this case from 0-27) must co-exist to be able to restore from the last. This is despite the fact the backups are all Full backups, not incremental.
I mentioned this in a support ticket on 8th July.
I was told it was a known issue
After no solution was forthcoming, I followed up on 22nd July.
I was told to try a new version. I did so. No change.
On 26th July I was told "we're working on it".
No solution to date.
So, if you have a backup regime in place like mine described above, you should not be sleeping so soundly at nighttime until this issue is addressed.
Regards,
Brian
