Purchased Drive Cloner-RX a while back and will get to use it shortly.

Question:

If I perform a full backup of my C:\Drive to a USB External Drive and need to recover from failure to boot (a dead system);

When I boot from a Recovery CD/DVD, will it recognize the USB External and mount it as a valid Drive (so I can restore from it).

Or, would I need to load a default Win Image, so the USB External can be recognized, then do a Full Restore from within the Windows OS...
